Chat Chat Silver Petal Earrings

$ 90.00

Practicing 1,000 year old traditions the master Tuareg silversmiths of the Koumama family collective in Niger use charcoal stoked by goat skin bellows to melt pure 99.9% silver then form it into classic shapes and decorate with free hand engraving of traditional Niger motifs. These playful Chat-Chat petal earrings drop from a triangle top, the symbol of good luck in Niger and are accented with silver and onyx beads. The Chat-Chat earrings also coordinate to the Silver petals necklace.

“Each piece of Tuareg jewelry helps provide the artisans with the blessings of food and culture and the wearer of the jewelry a sense of beauty and pride.”
- Elhadji Koumama of Tuareg Jewelry, Niger
